This degree is designed to ensure that when you graduate, you will be eligible for significant exemptions from a number of professional accounting bodies, i.e., maximum exemption from Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK. You’ll also have the opportunity to undertake a work placement year. This course is designed to enhance employment prospects.

About the Course

This degree equips you with a sound knowledge of accounting and business which will enable you to take up a management position in industry and commerce, or become a professional accountant. Added Values for BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance Students:
•  As per required by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), 30% local contents shall be included for modules such as 5AG518 Business Taxation, 6AG501 Financial Reporting & 6AG509(II) Issues of Corporate Accountability. UniTunku shall issue a certification to the students for this additional academic involvement.
•  Industrial Training involvement for 5 months rather than 4 months.

How You Will Learn

The programme has been designed to give you the basic knowledge, background and skills during your first year. In your second year, you will learn more advanced techniques and be introduced to some more advanced specialisms within the accounting subject. In your final year, you will be tackling complicated accounting and ethical issues and will work more independently.
